Bowa Construction provided construction management at risk services for the interior build-out of the new Little Italy Branch of the Chicago Public Library in conjunction with a mixed-use, seven-story building located in Chicago’s University Village Neighborhood. Scope of work includes new roof-top and MEP systems; interior drywall partitions and ceilings; polished concrete flooring; carpet and ceramic wall tile; acoustical and specialty ceilings including a “baffle” ceiling system; custom millwork counters, cabinets and perimeter book shelving including a custom media area, circulation desk and self-check-in desk; glass doors; as well as full height glass operable partitions, which will allow the Community Room to be divided into two smaller rooms.
