New 30.4-acre facility consolidates the existing and aged CPD and CFD training facilities to a single campus to expand the training capabilities of both new and current police officers, firefighters and paramedics, allowing for comprehensive cross-training. The Academy’s main building features classrooms, administrative offices, labs, simulators, conference rooms and an auditorium and a second building featuring a pool to be used to train for water rescues as well as a shooting range. The campus also includes a driving course, a 372-space surface lot including 9 ADA compliant spaces, a skid pad and a place for hands-on practice in real-world situations
