BOWA Construction provided CMAR services for the University of Illinois’ MEB Renovation and Addition project in order to bolster the University’s Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering’s place among the Nation’s elite engineering programs. The reconfigured MEB features active-learning classrooms and state-of-the-art complex laboratories. Scope of work included nearly 66,000 SF of renovations; a 30,000 SF addition that includes a 3,000 SF open-design student center, a Starbucks and dedicated space for projects, meetings and corporate events; and 3,400 SF of courtyard infill.
